Jack's friends

Aidan

Jaydan

Jazmyn

Jake

Aidan, Jaydan, Jazmyn, Jake and Jackson.....no we didnt plan it but they all sound pretty cool together!! Jackson loves other kids - especially the girls and he thought Jazzie's kisses were the bomb! Look out Jaydan, there could be some fightin' over her when you boys grow up - she is already winning prizes at baby shows!

We havent seen little Aidan for a while but apparently he has a teddy called Jackson which he burps and puts to sleep every night - what a sweetie!

Meet the family.....

Lachie

Ethan

Jacob

Emilia Rose

Little Jackson is the fifth installment on the Hansen side and, as you can see, the others are a beautiful bunch! We are yet to have the pleasure of meeting Emilia and are waiting with bated breath for October when all of the kids will be together for the first time.
Jackson is the very first on the Jones side and desperately needs some cousins in Brissy to play with. If you could see my face right now Daniel and Prue, I would be giving you a very meaningful look!!

My Boys....

Judging from the tantrums and the inability to pay attention while I talk, good looks aren't the only thing Jackson has inherited from his Daddy! Credit where its due though - Brent doesn't cry when I sing him 'Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star'

Ta to Grandpa for letting Jackson play with his Formula One car!! We all had a laugh thinking that by the time Jackson is starting to take an interest in cars, these will probably be considered 'vintage'!!

Jackson's 'other women'

With the amount of attention he receives from Nana and Grandma, its no wonder that Jack Jack has a thing for the ladies!!

Overnight Jackson has decided that it is quite fun to be on his tummy!! Before he really didnt like it and would only last a minute or two before crying but something has changed and all of a sudden its not so bad! He has rolled over by himself once and is always twisting over when lying down so maybe the fact that he is getting there by himself rather than us doing it has made the difference.

Due to the success of our solid foods, we decided to try something new - pumpkin! Despite the look on his face he actually loves it and throws quite the tantrum when he is finished. He also makes 'num num' noises as he is eating it and (as Grandma and Grandad Hansen will agree), loves nothing more than having an audience while eating it. Mind you, he loves having an audience anytime!

We decided to give some solids a go after the constant 2 hour feeds didnt seem to be satisfying Jacksons boundless apetite! For all you non-believers who say that its too early - nearly instantly he began to sleep for 7 hours plus at night and go back to feeding every three hours! Thanks to all the Mums who gave me advice and Im sure that Jack would be thanking you too if he could!

After 37.5 hours of Labour we had our little bundle of joy!! I had always hoped for a natural birth but reality brought with it pethadine, gas, an epidural, oxytocin to speed up the contractions, having my waters broken by the nurse, forceps and an episiotomy - all in all probably every form of intervention you can have without having a caesarian!
Many people braved the wait in the hospital and in the end Nana and Grandpa Jones, Grandma Hansen, Uncle Dan, my Auntie Lynda and Great Grandma Jones were all there to meet Jackson after a highly anticipated wait. Nothing can describe the feelings you have during and after the birth but I cant imagine there being anything more fantastic or mind-blowing.
